About Us
The Non Governmental Organization "Scientific & Educational Center for National Development" (NGO SECND) was founded in 2000. It has 15 members, including 7 PhD-s. Four of the NGO members received their Master's degrees in US Universities and one - in Central European University. The president of the NGO, Gayane Ghukasyan, received a 2003 Muskie Alumni Leadership Award from the US State Department for outstanding achievement in leadership.

Organization has successfully accomplished 14 programs
including 3 Summer Schools and one Winter School since 2002.

On November 11, 2008 the presentation of the Brochure "Summer Schools" published by NGO SECND took place in Rita and Vardges Paleans' Hall of the Yerevan State University. Download PDF version of the Brochure here.

CALL FOR PAPERS


From March 1 NGO SECND started the program "Seminars on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTR) and Environmental Information".


From November 30 until December 11 NGO SECND has held a two-week Winter School on Bologna Process "Promoting Europian Dimension in Higher Education".


NGO SECND has been involved in the program "Activate Museums as Lifelong Learning Spaces (A-MUSE-ALL)" since November of 2008.


In summer of 2009 the NGO SECND organized a Summer Program on Armenian Culture for UWC students and also took part in the program "Museum Education for Diaspora Teachers".


The NGO SECND organized a Summer Program on Armenian Culture for UWC students, which was held in Armenia from 1-15 June, 2009. The organization published a booklet about the program.
